My oh my.. I just finished eating this dinner and I immediately wanted to tell you about this fabulous recipe. This relatively easy recipe is perfect for a Sunday evening! Because the meat-bread needs to be in the oven for 40 minutes, you can do something else in the meantime. The meat-bread is mixed with funghi porcini and prosciutto di Parma and bathes in a sauce of tomatoes.. Do I need to say more? I am glad that I made this recipe for 4 persons, so tomorrow there will be more left to eat this again 🙂
10 g. of dried mushrooms (funghi porcini), 100 g. of (old) white bread, 100 ml. of milk, 150 g. of Parma ham (prosciutto di Parma), 500 g. of chopped beef, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of italian spices, 1 can of tomato pulp (400 ml.) and salt and pepper.
Take 150 ml cooked water and let the dried mushrooms soak in it for 15 minutes. Next to this, let the white bread soak in the milk for 10 minutes. After 15 minutes, divide the mushroom water from the mushrooms and sift it. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees. Chop the mushrooms into small parts. Then you can mix the chopped meat together with 50 g. of chopped ham, the egg, the chopped mushrooms and white bread. Add the italian spices, and salt and pepper. Knead the meat in the form of a bread. Spread half of the remaining ham on a cutting board and put the meat-bread on it. Cover the bread with the remaining ham and put it in a roasting pan. Put the pan into the oven and wait for 5 minutes. After five minutes, take the pan out of the oven and add the can of tomato pulp and mushroom water next to the meat. Again, add salt and pepper. Put the roasting pan back into the heated oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, turn off the oven, but leave the meat inside for 20 more minutes. And then, enjoy :).
